No letter from Elder Hoots this week.
I wanted to remind everyone that it is his birthday next Wednesday, August 29. He will be 21 years old. So don't forget to drop him a short note to say Happy Birthday.

ReplyDeleteThere is a great deal of pride and humility which sometimes are considered opposites when I think of Haden on his mission. I'm proud to be your uncle, to know you and what you stand for, to be on the list of people that get to share your experiences, successes and challenges. Proud to know that you are giving it your all for Heavenly Father, the people of Mexico, your family... and that you have made right choices.
I am humbled by the sacrifice you are making and the way that the Lord is looking out for you. You my boy are so blessed to be there. Yes, we miss you and want you home with us in a selfish way but you are doing the "right thing" in service.
On your birthday just know that Jana & I couldn't be more proud of you and look forward to your home coming. Happy Birthday Haden... Much love, Uncle Blaine
