Busy Busy Busy

Elder Hoots has been busy.  No letters for everyone and mostly just short little letters for his family.  He's been busy enjoying the little free time that he has in Mexico, which is a good thing.

He found some spare time to write a little letter last week and here it is for your viewing pleasure.

Thank you to everyone that reached out to him on his birthday.  I know it meant a lot to him and it did to us his family.

Letter to America,
Well these last couple weeks have been a little crazy. I have been doing a lot of things on Mondays and haven't really had time to write a letter to all my faithful readers. I have barely had time to write just to my family.  So I want to write you all a little letter today even though I don't have a lot of time.
Well things in Mexico are going legit. Thanks for the birthday emails from everyone this last week. I appreciate it and I am kinda shocked that it has already passed a year since my last birthday. Time is going fast. Actually, to tell you the truth it seems like it is going slow, but every time I lift up my head, it's another month that has gone by. It's crazy to think that we are already in September.
So these last three weeks we have had four baptisms. Alan, Miguel y Eslit and Alan. Haha. I feel good and I am happy. I get along really well with my companion, but tomorrow we have changes and this kid named Elder Call is coming with me. I am kinda nervous, it'll be hard moving on from someone I get along so well with. But we have a hard area. I am still in Paraiso but they are splitting it, again, and I got the part where there is no one. We are working hard and have three people we are talking to, but nobody is committing to baptism. It's rough. So I am going to be really tired and really focused this week. The hard part is that we have to work hard just to find people to teach, then we have to work hard to teach them. But it's ok, we will see how it goes. I really wanna work my as hard as possible and just turn this area around so it is a good area and there are a lot of people who want to listen.
But the sun here is getting pretty strong. Walking in the street all day and it kinda just feels like it's punching me in the face. However, I am lookin pretty Mexican. Haha. So I try. Haha.
But I am happy and the work here.  I love this ward and we are working a lot with the members. This week we taught 23 lessons with a member with us. We put the goal last Thursday. Then when we prayed that he would help us get that goal. On Wednesday this kid named Cristian went with us. He is leaving Wednesday for his mission to Chihuahua. At the end of the first night he asked, "can I go with you guys all week?" Our answer?  "YES."  Haha it was cool.  So once he signed on we ended up teaching 23 lessons. It was pretty hard core.
So this week I am ready to work my hiney off again. I am happy to be here in Mexico helping these people learn who God its. And I am happy that I am happy. Haha.
And I am still happy that Dwight Howard is on the Lakers.
Hopefully I will get pics sent out to you guys soon.  Thanks for the continued support.
Love you all and have a good week.
