Another great week of comments. Keep them coming, he loves them and they really help.
This week was a good week. Of course, like always it could have been better but I was pretty happy with the result.
First of all, I have never been so tired in my life. I know I probably say that every week, but it's true. I think every week I get more and more tired so I have to keep y'all updated.
I finally played basketball today...or tried to at least. Mexicans suck at basketball. My companion went up for a lay up and threw it over the backboard by like ten feet. haha. I was crying I was laughing so hard. But we ended early because I injured myself again. I ripped the nail off of my finger. Check that. My companion ripped the nail off of my finger. I should just not do anything on Mondays because it's kind of ridiculous. But I get bored so I have to. But lets just say I was moving along well and all. Almost how Charles Barkley would if he was still playing. But I was still better than everyone else playing. What can I say? It's natural. One thing I have learned on my mission is to be humble....obviously.
Well, like I said this week was good. We had a conference and we all got cell phones. That was pretty exciting. Except we got kind of jerked out on that because my companion already had one. So everyone got new ones and we have one that is still gross. But it works, so whatever.
We are teaching this man named Martin. We were talking to him and he is so funny. But he was telling us how all theses people were asking him to go to some conference thing in Azteca stadium. He was asking for people to take him and they all said no. So he told them all, it's ok, it's better that I go with Jaramillo because he is going to take me to his church. haha. Funny cat. So all the people know who Jaramillo is now. But it's ok, I like that.
Not to far from where Martin lives is this man named Rodrigo or something like that. I am kinda scared of him. He is an alcoholic, we know because he has told us like 100 times. His little brother is a drug addict. We know that because he has told us maybe 101 times. He is scary. He was getting all angry and was getting really close to me. But I just gave him "the look" and he backed off. Ok, not really. But I just said "you need to calm down." Or as RJ would say "Reeeeeeeeeeeelaaaaaaaax!" but we left fast.
Then there is this man Jose Luis. He is super awesome. He is a big tough guy. Or tries to act like it at least. But he said that for his daughters quinciera he wants to go to the temple and be sealed to his family. So if he wants to do that he needs to be baptised right now. So that was cool. We put a date on him for the 24th I think.
We have so many awesome people we are teaching but they all have their little problems so it is a little hard. But i wish we could just baptise them all. I need to figure our what to do at this time.
We are working hard and I am still liking it. We have changes next week. My companion is cool and all but I would not be mad if we got changed. haha :)
Mexico is awesome, especially the street tacos. Anyways goodbye till next week. Much love all and keep doing your thing.
Love
Elder Jaramillo
