More "Crazy" Experiences for Elder Hoots

Short letter this week as Elder Hoots didn't have much time.  He did have another crazy experience this week that he did want to share with everyone. 

Thank you to those who have been sending comments.  As he says in his letter he has had some ups and downs over the past couple of weeks, so every little bit of encouragement helps. 

Also, check out this video of Elder Hoots a couple months back at the MTC helping a new missionary unpack his stuff.  It is purely coincidental that he is part of the video, but kind of funny.  Thank you to Thomas Nilsen for sharing.

Finally, Elder Hoot's location has been updated on the map to the right.  Not too far from where he was, but a new place nonetheless.

Well this week was fun.  I officially hit my six month mark on Friday.  So I did the missionary tradition and I burned a tie. It was pretty fun I guess. haha.

But I thought that the crazy things would stop happening with time....boy was I wrong! First, someone dies and comes back, then other things and then this week was something crazy.

So we have this sister in our ward, who is awesome.  But she has a problem with the evil spirits.  They have been in her house before and she has been taken over before.  She called us this week and was crying, so we went to her house.  When we got there she was crying and her eyes were all red.  I said "how are you hermana?" and all she said was bad.  In some deep creepy voice.  I have never felt without the Spirit on my mission.  But at that moment my companion and I were standing there and were lost.  We didn't know what to do.  Nothing was working.  She definitely had something inside her.  My companion was a stud and demanded the spirit to leave, in almost 5 seconds she was sleeping.  And when she woke up, she was normal. 

When we went to church the next day. She was weird again.  We were talking about her and how we need her and how God needs her.  She said "don't talk to me about Him."  I was already feeling lost and lonely and it definitely affected my mood.

This morning and last night I have felt kind of sad.  My companion and I have changes coming. Which means, I am getting a new companion.  I am kind of worried because everyone says that my new companion is lazy. Makes me nervous and bummed out that right when my companion and I are doing better we get changed.  It's ok though, it's part of the mission, and I know there is a reason for it.

That's all I have time for this week.  I'm sorry I couldn't write a lot.  But I will write way more next week, I do have some uplifting stories to share with you too. But this experience was just too crazy for me to not share with you this week.
