Thursday means another letter from Haden. He seems to be getting in the groove a little bit. Read his letter below and leave him some encouragement.
He can only read emails on Thursday, so if you want to send him a letter that will be delivered during the week you can use Dearelder.com. It is a free service to sign up and easier than handwriting a letter. You can find Haden's contact info and MTC mailbox number on the Contact Info page.
Read this weeks letter below after the jump.....
This week has been such a great week. My companion and I are starting to really get Spanish but some people are struggling. The other day I saw this kid in my district and I was like "whats up?" and he replied "hula." No that was not a typo, he said "hula." This kid is crazy though. Just the other night he ripped the water fountain off of the wall. It was pretty impressive actually.
This Tuesday was an amazing devotional. Elder Russel M. Nelson came and talked to us. He is an apostle and the spirit in that meeting was overwhelming. I was expecting for him to do something amazing. But he actually just talked about being obedient and working hard. When you think about it that is all I need to do. And I am striving to do just that.
I am loving the work and am getting so much information it is insane. My companion and I can actually sit down and have a 20 minute conversation all in Spanish. It's pretty exciting. Our teacher told me he is gonna be really strict on me because if i have a gringo accent and when I get to Mexico they will make fun of me cause my name is Jaramillo. :(
This place is great, I have lost five pounds, that's mainly cause nothing stays in me for longer then two hours...if you know what I mean. More comes out then goes in I don't know how that works, but whatever I'll take it.
As always I am killing at basketball. I know you are all shocked but its just what I do, crossing fools (elders) up like no ones business. But anyways all the people here are great. I love all of my district and zone and they feel like family. My best friend probably in the whole MTC is Elder Belk. He is like a 6' 4" white dude from Utah, but he is way chill. But he leaves for Peru next week :( I'm gonna cry.
It is going great here and I am working really hard.
Congratulations to my wittle bruver Rhett on his graduation. You are the man. I know you will rule it up in Idaho and you deserve it. Have fun at Grad Night, remember it is only as fun as you make it. I wish I could be there and see everyone. Grandma and Gramps...hello. I sent you a letter, but I am sorry to here about Uncle Jack. He was a great man and he will be missed. He is in a better place now and it is so much easier there then here on earth that is for sure.
I love you all and I miss you guys a ton. Have fun in CA while I am here in "crap-tah". It's cold and rainy, but whatever. I love you guys and have fun.
