First Email

We got a pleasant surprise Saturday afternoon when the first email from Haden arrived in our inboxes

Read after the jump.....

Well the first week in the mtc was a little rough. The second day we studied for 8 hours, that is longer then a school day.  I haven't really been homesick, the only times I am is after studying for seven hours or right before i go to bed.  My companion's name is Elder Rodgers, he is a cool guy.  He likes playing sports just like me.  He is really supportive and helps me out when I am feeling homesick.  Last night was probably the hardest.  After sudying all day I wanted to give up, but the zone leaders had a little devotional.  It was unplanned and it was like an answer to my prayers.  They talked about D&C 4.  Which is pretty much all about the work I will be doing.  It really hit home because now I know that I need to do these things because there are specific people out there that are waiting for me to go teach them the word.  So I guess I will keep going.  haha.

i love you

I'd like to encourage everyone to write him a short email this week.  It doesn't have to be anything profound, just a little something to let him know we're thinking about him and supporting him as he heads into week 2.
