Also, more and more Haden is writing in "Spanglish" or he'll write a sentence in English the way it would be said in Spanish. It's funny to read, so I'm going to start leaving those in there so you all can see them too. I'll put the translation in parenthesis to help.
Thanks for all the support.
First of all, I want to start out by thanking all those who have sent their love and support to me. You have no idea how much it strengthens me. I am not gunna lie it's hard. But your love and prayers are helping me and I can feel it.
Now the work in the area is going awesome. Last week we had two baptisms. Karla and David Sanchez. This week we confirmed, but Karla had to work so we have to wait till the next week for her. Just thinking about David makes me laugh. He is such a funny guy. A little weird, but just a lovable guy.
We have been teaching a couple from Veracruz named Mayra and Jaffarth. Jaffarth is a member but Mayra isn't. She wants to be baptised but they need to get married first. One major problem is that she is under age. We thought that we could just have her parents sign a certain paper but I guess her parents need to either come or have a lawyer there as their representative. So we will see where that goes. She is supposed to get baptised this week but who knows how that is going to work out.
One person that I know is ready is Dolores. Oh man, I cant even tell you how powerful the lessons with her have been. Every time we leave her house we cant really say anything because it was just an awesome lesson. She knows it's true and she wants to follow it. She is just scared. I hope that she overcomes that fear. She said, "I am not going to think about it. I am just going to do it because I know that I should." So awesome. She is such an awesome person. She told us this week, "I have met with a lot of missionaries, but you two are the first where I have felt the Spirit so strong. It seems like you two have to spirit more then the others." I think that is the first time that someone has told me that I bring the Spirit better then others.
I am a loud, kind of crazy, kid. I wouldn't consider myself spiritual, but I am changing and I love it. To feel the Spirit is a feeling that if you haven't felt, you need to. And now I am feeling it all the time. I don't think that my personality will change that much, but I just don't think that I am going to be a boy anymore when I get home. Also, I am growing facial hair ridiculously fast. For those of you who know me well pretty much since I was able to grow it I have wanted facial hair. And I never could get it to grow enough that it looked like a beard instead of just dirt on my lip. Now I have to shave everyday or I have hair. It's weird. My plan is to grow a sweet beard when I get home. haha.
Well, I am finally sending pictures. Sorry for the delay. They are good ones, I am not gunna lie. I hope you enjoy them. I hope you enjoy the captions, I tried to put some funny ones on there for you guys, so have a good laugh. Oh yeah and I swear I am losing weight. The pictures may not show it, but it's just because all my shirts are big on me. I bought new pants and I am on the third hole in my second belt. Still got a long way to go though. haha. And lets be honest, rice and tortillas aren't really the healthiest thing to eat. Here, we have to eat what they give us. But at least some hermanas (sisters) try and give us healthy food cause they know I have been running. But I still always ask, "hermana, wheres the rice and tortillas?" It's something that's needed in the food.
Have a good week all. I will.
Love,
Haden
Haden, you are missed and you are loved. Your letters are a great reflection of how much you have grown; and, it's way more that just facial hair growth! Your mission is a blessing. I am most proud of you. My love to you, Georgia
