Elder Hoots Checks In

After no letter last week, we get a short letter this week.  The computer time is limited on his p-day so he tries to get us a letter whenever he can. 

Things are looking up for Elder Hoots.  He has a companion he likes and he's doing well in the area he's in.  Keep praying and sending love, it helps keep him going.

Letter to America,

Well this week was a little rough.  First, I got a new companion.  His name is Elder Valenzuela.  He is from Chile and he is really legit.  He is kind of a shy kid, but we get a long good.  He knows how to use the scriptures perfectly and I know how to talk.  So we are a good team because I'll say something and the investigator wants proof,  I let Valenzuela take over.  Sometimes even if they don't want proof he still comes at them with some scriptures. We taught some sweet lessons this week.

We found this lady named Marialena. She is like 45 and a little crazy. She accepted everything that we said with open arms, it was amazing.  When we first started talking to her she was telling us about what she was looking for in a church and the organization she believes is right and what she was explaining is exactly how our church is. At the end of our lesson she said "I have been searching for answers.  Trying to find the Jesus' church and learning who Jesus is and what He wants us to do.  I think I've found that today." So legit.

Other than that, my comp and I are working on finding new people.  My first couple weeks here I killed it, 6 baptisms.  But once those 6 baptisms were over it was like.....uhhhhhhh.  What's next?  Everybody that we were teaching we ended up baptizing, so that left us with nobody to teach.  So our goal this week is to find new people to teach.  I'm stoked to start.

I love my new companion though.  It only took 4 months, but I amd happy that I am someone who is chill. I am doing good. I just passed my 9 month mark last week.  It's so crazy how fast time goes.  Only 15 more months. At this rate its gunna fly.  Love you all.
