This week kind of got away, and I haven't been able to post the letter until today. It will be some good Christmas Eve reading. Hoots also sent some pictures this week. Those will be posted on the Pictures page.
Hoots is having a little bit of a tough time during this Christmas season. So any type of note you can send to him to give him some encouragement and showin some love will be much appreciated.
We get to talk to Haden tonight on the phone and we are all very excited. As you know we haven't been able to talk to him since he took off for Mexico in July. It'll be fun to chat.
Now for the letter....
Well this week was a good week.
We had a baptism yesterday with a little kid named Andres. He is a crazy kid, but he has been coming to church and really enjoying it, so it is good he is getting baptized. The water was really cold, so he was struggling. haha. His foot came out of the water the first time, so I told him we had to do it again. He said "I don't want to do it again, it's too cold. I was like "shut up and get down there." Ok, I didn't say that, but that's what I was thinking. But it ended up working out and it was great. His family came and they seemed to enjoy it. I couldn't really tell. His Dad is kind of stubborn about it and didn't really want him to get baptized. His Mom is much more open to it, so that is good.
Last Saturday we had what is basically our Christmas party here. They call it a Posada, which is basically a re-enactment of how Mary and Joseph were looking for a place to stay. We took an old man with us who is named Martin. I think I have mentioned him before. He is super short and skinny and he is hilarious. He got to take swings at the piñata and it was pretty funny to watch. I was bummed that I didn't get to take a shot at the piñata, which was a bummer, but at least the tamales were super delicious. I really wanted to eat more, but we played soccer so I couldn't. Of course, I tore it up, you know how I do. Actually, I hurt my ankle and I didn't play that good, but at least we won.
This week was a pretty good week. I'm not really looking forward to Christmas, but you know how it is. We just go to a member's house and eat. So it's not too exciting. I think we are all going to try and go caroling, which should be fun. That's about all I have this week. I don't have a lot of time and things are super busy this week. I love you all. Have a good week and a Merry Christmas.

Though getting through Christmas time without your family is hard... we read your stories, we see your dedication and success in Mexico and we are there right next to you. Just close your eyes and imagine the whole gang making fun of each other, cracking up constantly, and then ending up around the piano singing songs. Christmas will be right there. The opportunities you are having now are once in a lifetime and will go by so fast so soak it all in. Your auntie and I love you more than you know and will celebrate the day you complete your mission and return home! Love Uncle Blaine...
